ATLANTA GOVERNOR KEMP REOPENS AMID COVID-19

Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia, a Republican, has had his decision-making questioned by President Trump in White House briefings this week.

Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia announced this week that he would allow nail salons, bowling alleys, barbershops, hair salons, massage therapists, and gyms to reopen on Friday, April 24, 2020.

Bars, nightclubs, amusement parks, and live performance venues will remain closed. Restaurants, theaters, and private social clubs will be allowed to open on Monday, April 27.

“It concerns me deeply that we are still seeing an upward trend in our state and we are rushing to reopen businesses,” she said on CBSN. 

“What I’ve said is I hope the governor is right and I’m wrong, because if he’s wrong more people will die,” Bottoms added.
